The site was closed by GoDaddy over the weekend because of the "content" so everything is gone and it will not be coming back. There is nothing I can do about it. I know the content was not exactly "clean" but it was (to my knowledge) the most well-maintained, sorted and extensive collection available online. I have really spent hours on your site, just reading the funny stories, having a laugh and enjoying myself.
I know there is possibly not much to do about it now, but did they at least give you any possibility of retrieving the data? or have they just pressed the big "delete button"?
as well as the ones above, I'd like to thank you for a very long time of great reading and serious simplicity in your layout, many other sites are simply way more complex to maneuver around. nowhere near being as appealing as readhentai.net was.

If they really did just close it down without warning (which apparently they did), you should dispute with them until you can find if there were one or two very specific reasons to close it down. If so, see if they'll let you bring back the site with a few changes appeasing to those reasons. If all else fails, and you really wanna bring back the site, just go to another web host who has some decent sense.

ReplyDeletei agree with most of what the guys from before said unless it is something that was spelled out in a contract, they can not delete your site just because it's "dirty". there are no laws that would cause the banning of the site since all the content is legal, even the rape and the loli ones since in a court case it was decided that cartoon/drawings of loli or rape are fine since no one is harmed in the making of it, and also it should be possible to go to another host. i sincerly hope that the site can come back up, i had a lot of diff manga bookmarked and was looking foreword to reading it.

It was closed down because lolicon and shotacon is illegal material. None of it was saved because it is illegal material. The social institutions (governments and societies) outside of Japan do not understand that a drawing and a picture of a human being are 2 completely different things so they decided to merge them all under child pornography when a drawing IS NOT REAL while a picture is. A lot of sites with lolicon and shotacon materials that are not serviced by japanese server companies are being shut down because of this failure to understand. People are stupid and think that hentai of minors is a gateway to become pedophiles. If readhentai.net tries to restart the website with all the content he had, he could risk going to jail.
